Robert Kiernan serves as the Senior Director at The Northeast Maglev, LLC (TNEM). He is responsible for coordinating technical and economic studies, developing stakeholder support, managing industry outreach and promoting superconducting maglev technology.
Mr. Kiernan is a recognized industry expert on maglev technology and potential corridors. He has been a leader in the U.S. maglev industry for 20 years, starting with the National Maglev Initiative (NMI) and continuing through the Federal Maglev Deployment Program (MDP).
Mr. Kiernan is the former Executive Director of the U.S. Council on Superconductivity, the national trade association for the superconductor industry in the United States. He was a key consultant to the Baltimore-Washington Maglev Project under the MDP, and an active participant in strategic planning and government relations activities for the High Speed Ground Transportation Association (HSGTA).
Mr. Kiernan is a graduate of the George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. He is a member of the U.S. Maglev Coalition and serves on the board of directors of the Council for the Commercial Application of Superconductors (CCAS).
