Please use this form to let your elected officials know that you support the Northeast Maglev project.
The Northeast Maglev project will rely on proven technology to bring a 311-mph superconducting maglev to the Northeast Corridor, revolutionizing how people live and work in the most congested region of the U.S. The first leg will provide 15-minute service between Baltimore and Washington, D.C., and ultimately one-hour service will be provided from Washington, D.C. to New York City. Tell elected officials you support the Northeast Maglev project because it will:
KICKSTART THE ECONOMY
The first phase of this project is expected to increase GDP in the United States by $22.5 billion and add $584 million annually to the nation’s GDP after opening.
CREATE JOBS
The project would create 205,000 job years related to construction efforts, and 14,600 permanent jobs after opening.
IMPROVE ACCESS TO JOBS
The project will result in dramatically reduced commute times and provide better access to jobs and jobs centers, unlocking career opportunities, increasing real estate values and enhancing quality of life throughout the Northeast Corridor.
IMPROVE AIR QUALITY
The project takes millions of cars off the road, improving our air quality, reducing toxic emissions – and making great strides in our efforts to fight climate change.
IMPROVE SAFETY
Based on a culture of safety and industry leading safety technology, the system is extremely safe and reliable.
NOT TAKE HOMES
Potential routes under current consideration do not require the taking of any private homes.
The project has robust support from a wide and diverse group of regional stakeholders – yet, your elected officials need to hear from you!
Please help ensure this critical project receives robust federal support.
