Our team members have been working hard, alongside local community organizations, to ensure that communities are protected and prepared for this upcoming election in the midst of a pandemic.
Check out the local organizations Northeast Maglev partnered with last week below!
The Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce
On October 5, a few of our team members met with President and CEO of The Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce, Brent Howard, to donate 1,000 reusable face masks to the Chamber’s Small Business PPE Pickup Program. The program offers free personal protection equipment to small businesses across Baltimore County.
The Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce has been serving the Baltimore community since 1966 with the mission of promoting, growing and sustaining diverse and healthy business communities across the Baltimore region.
If you or your business are in need of PPE materials please contact the Chamber to arrange for contactless pickup! See the flyer included in the image gallery for more information.
National Action Network Greater Baltimore Chapter and Women on the Move
The National Action Network (NAN) is one of the leading civil rights organizations in the Nation that advocates for justice and equal opportunity for all people. Since its inception in 1991, NAN has established over 100 chapters across the United States that continue to fight for local issues within the communities they serve.
The National Action Network Greater Baltimore Chapter has taken up the charge of promoting voter registration across Baltimore in preparation for the upcoming election. Last week, our team members worked with leaders from the National Action Network Greater Baltimore Chapter, the A. Phillip Randolph Institute Baltimore Chapter and Women on the Move to distribute masks and register people to vote in West Baltimore. That evening alone, the teams assisted over 30 eligible voters to register and the Northeast Maglev donated over 2,000 reusable masks to make sure voters are masked up during this time!
Do your part and make sure that you are ready to vote in November by checking your registration status here.
A big thanks to the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce and the National Action Network Greater Baltimore Chapter for allowing our team to support their outreach events this week.
