Northeast Maglev Teams with Leaders from South Baltimore to Help Prepare Youth for the School Year
School is back in session!
With many students returning back to the classroom or online learning, we teamed up with leaders across South Baltimore to get families and students excited about starting the upcoming school year.
Northeast Maglev joined leaders from the R.I.C.H. Foundation and the Lakeland Community Association for fun events that brought the community together and provided students with everything needed to support their learning.
We are honored to have had the opportunity to participate in these community events, talk to, and learn from, community members, as well as donate 500 backpacks filled with the tools necessary to expand learning this school year. We were also very happy to have been able to supply some students with Chromebook computers.

Lakeland Community Association Partnership
The Lakeland Community Association Partnership aims to build strong community ties and provide opportunities. This past August, its leaders hosted “Lakeland Day” a community event aimed at celebrating the diversity and culture of its neighborhood. The event featured fun for the entire family including music and dance performances, community vendors, food vendors, and more!
Our team members joined in on the fun, engaging with local businesses and residents while educating families on the Maglev project and the benefits that it will bring to South Baltimore. We enjoyed speaking with the younger generations about Maglev technology and the many job and educational opportunities that the train will bring. We are happy to have been able to donate Chromebooks to several students and hope that they will help them to soar academically during this school year.
R.I.C.H. Foundation
The R.I.C.H. Foundation, a non-profit organization aimed at empowering youth and families throughout the city of Baltimore, hosted its annual Back to School festival in August. Our team had a blast during the back to school bash as families and youth enjoyed games, free food and haircuts, live entertainment and more! Northeast Maglev donated 500 backpacks to the festival which were filled with everything needed by students to start off the school year right.
We are happy to have been able to partner with leaders from the R.I.C.H Foundation and the Lakeland Community Association to provide our future generations with the tools needed for a successful school year. We look forward to partnering with like organizations in the future.
