Zion Baptist Church is a progressive, urban Baptist congregation in the heart of Baltimore, Maryland that is pastored by Reverend Dr. Marshall F. Prentice. Pastor Prentice has been committed to teaching the word of God for over 35 years. His commitment to serving is seen in his fellowship and ministry to members of the church and surrounding communities.
Pastor Prentice has worked hard to transform the lives of Baltimoreans with his involvement in community organizations such as Baltimoreans United in Leadership Development (B.U.I.L.D.). In his role as Co-Chair, Dr. Marshall F. Prentice has improved housing, increased access to jobs, and rebuilt schools and neighborhoods in Baltimore.
Pastor Prentice is not only dedicated to nurturing faith in the East Baltimore community, he is also dedicated to making Baltimore a better place to live, work, and raise a family for all. He advocates for the development of SCMAGLEV and the opportunity that it will bring to Baltimore.
We’re going to create jobs. So I think anything that’s going to help mobilizing our people, especially to one location to another, especially in places of employment, because we need it. It’s very much needed.”
