Northeast Maglev in the community

We were excited and honored to be the platinum sponsor for this year’s Baltimore County African American Cultural Festival. Twenty-five years ago, the festival was founded by current Maryland Speaker of the House of Delegates, Adrienne Jones to raise funds to support charitable community programs like providing academic scholarships, summer camps, and historical preservation projects.

The festival celebrates the rich and thriving traditions of the African American community and brings together local and national recording artists and entertainers, businesses large and small, and civic organizations to engage with thousands of attendees. The festival is a vibrant and exciting event that has become one of Baltimore County’s proudest traditions.

This year twenty-five students received collage scholarships at the event, and we had a great time talking maglev with people from all around the area. We enjoyed some great music, fantastic food, learned a lot, and had some great conversations.

Musical acts included The Spindles, Panama Band, LA and the Unusual Suspects, and Freddie Jackson.

It was also heartwarming to see Speaker Jones recognized as the Social Justice Impact Maker of the Year by the Greater Baltimore Chapter of the National Action Network with award presented by Senator Larry Young.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s event!

Now more than ever, Northeast Maglev believes that by working together we can do big things for our community. We are looking forward to continuing to partner with community groups throughout the region! Keep track of what we’re up to by following us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
